As we are still in January and Christmas is not buried in the past yet (I don’t know about you, but I am still eating leftover mince pies!), this post focuses on what you would like to achieve this year. Have you made any New Year’s resolutions? Are they the same resolutions you made last year, but failed to stick to them? Do they require lots of effort with a reward in a distant future? Are they something you think you “should” do, rather than something that you are really excited about? They may not be the right goals to be aiming for.
How about making this year all about you, not about what you should or shouldn’t do. If you want to get fit and think you should join the local gym, but do not really like the commitment, do something that enjoy doing that would make you fit, for example, go for long walks, pursue an outdoor hobby, do more gardening.
So before you set your goals, think about what would light up your heart, make you want to get up in the morning looking forward to the rest of the day!
